The project - what we do

Just as the arts are ancient, so is the fact that artists at some point in their careers have needed funding, just like any project in science, medicine, or technology.

We saw this with the patrons of the Italian renaissance and their wonderful artists; all the works that could be made with that funding prevail to this day.

Also, paradoxically enough, in our modern times, it has become a bit complicated to be able to stand out. The advent of the Internet has changed things quite a lot, and with so many possibilities and competition, you may have felt demoralized at some point.

That's why Dance Networks was born.

Here, we recognize the talent and beauty of all types of dance, and we want to give everyone a chance.

Fill this form and we will contact you

How do we do this?

It's quite simple: we fund you.

All you have to do is add our logo to your videos.

It's our way of collaborating with dance: dancers get funding, and we get visibility so we can attract more donors who want to contribute to you and the dance world.

Both in terms of history and creativity, art has made an important contribution to the learning and interpretation of events that have marked every stage in the history of mankind in many areas of his life.

Art is the highest expression of culture. And simply following the concept that we are not born human but animals and then we become human, we find that culture in the broadest sense is what differentiates us from the rest of the animals.

Could humanity do without art and still be human? Not really. Our essence would probably be transformed and we would be something more like draught horses or robots that receive money to pay for their own energy recharge.

He who does not dance, who does not feel the rhythmic beat of his body, does not feel alive.

That is why we believe that dance and all dancers deserve funding and visibility.

Interesting in supporting our cause by funding it?

Why we are doing it?

Humans are artists by nature, thus the origin of art begins with the origin of humanity.

From cave painting to the latest contemporary piece created, art has served as a medium, form and source of expression. It has always been a part of us, and it will forever have its place in the history. Humans can't be separated from arts as much as we can't be separated from science. All the arts are indispensable, but dance has a special place. Because dance is not unrelated to other artistic disciplines. They feed off each other.

Poetry and dance touch each other. Poetry is like dancing by writing, you can go very far with your imagination. There is also a close relationship between dance and music.

It is a way of turning the body into a vehicle capable of manifesting what is outside. In its very beginnings, dance was represented through grotesque gestures, but people sought to show the darkness of the human being in a beautiful way.

There are things that may appear to be ugly, but deep down they are beautiful. When we are small we move in a very strange way. We are discovering the world. We move our fingers and mouth in a strange way. However, we can't stop looking at small children who are curious about every object, and dance, at it earliest stages, sought to find that essence. Today, it portrays deeper messages. Dance is not only movement. It can also be poetry, philosophy, narrative... In dance, time is not explained but is intrinsic to the performance. The passage of time is constructed from the composition of movements in space or from the relationship between silences and music.

From his earliest writings Nietzsche used the artistic manifestation of dance as an aesthetic device to describe, at first, the Dionysian spirit, and later the connotations of the spirit of lightness that were paradigmatically outlined in the music of the south.

In fact, this insistence on using the symbolism of dance in his writings is another way of glorifying and vindicating the value of the body. Moreover, it would be difficult to understand the figures of Dionysus, the chorus, the satyr, the free spirit or Zarathustra without reference to their most peculiar mode of expression: dance. In his last period Nietzsche no longer seeks an art that is not an expression of life, nor words that do not sing, nor music that does not serve to dance, for only the dancing and light spirit can open the path that leads to the superman.

Therefore, only "a dancing art", with its lightness and airiness, can raise man to the highest. And Nietzsche believes that this art, from which he expects everything, is necessary, fundamentally, in order to be able to enjoy "freedom over things", since the art he proposes as an alternative is a "light art", ascending, which has freed itself from the stifling determinations of the spirit of heaviness, which prevents man from being free. In the face of morality and its rigid precepts, it is not only necessary to be above them, but to dance, "play and value" above morality itself.

The serious and the heavy must be overcome by the lightness of dance, which is why when it comes to establishing criteria of value Nietzsche points out that "our first question about the value of a book, of a human being or of a musical composition is: can they walk? Even more so, can they dance?

The dancer is the one who knows how to listen to his body, who knows how to be at once of the earth and of the sky, who knows drunkenness and ecstasy, who knows how to become timeless, who transfigures his strength and power into grace. Or else, who is the one who best expresses joy and "great health", who is the one who best knows how to laugh and who best celebrates life, if not the dancer?

Far from being a lax and evanescent art, dance requires the most elementary laws of physics, physiology and the anatomy of the human body. As a discipline, it is the most demanding and rigorous, since one always dances "chained", but at the same time it represents in a more excellent way than other arts the free play of its elements, accompanied by efforts from which it is impossible to escape. This series of movements and gestures, each of which cannot be isolated, together form a continuous expression, far greater than the sum of its parts.

In dance, symbols are not only represented spatially, harmoniously, as in plastic art, but the spatial and the temporal (rhythm) are integrated. It is a fact that throughout history man has always danced to celebrate his changes and transformations.

Dance was first associated with sacred rites; it was a means of communication between man and his gods, a form of veneration intended to invoke the manifestation of supernatural powers, but it was also linked to fertility rites in which the exuberance of life was exalted. Once desacralised, it became a means of expressing the spirit of the people. The great events of everyday life are still celebrated with dance, as a manifestation of joy and life.

The Greeks knew that music must speak to the body, which responds to it by dancing, giving wings to the thoughts and the spirit, just as it gives wings to the dancer and trains him in his movements. Dance uses the whole body as a vehicle of expression and gives back to the concept of music its corporal dimension, its most original sphere.

To dance is to transfigure oneself, to enter another body without changing skin, to discover in oneself another self, a self that no longer obeys reason but life alone, a self that mingles with the trees of the mountain or the stars in the sky. To dance is to become movement.

It is the discipline that best explains time.Dance is ephemeral. You can dance the same choreography every day but you will always experience it differently. Nor will today's audience feel the same as tomorrow's audience. You always dance in the eternal present. The most important thing is to awaken emotions in the audience.

The space between the dancer and the audience must be full of energy. The aim is to make something move inside the audience. Emotion is movement. This can also happen when you read a book, listen to a song or talk to a person who attracts you for some reason and awakens an interest, a curiosity.

You are more than welcome to be a part of Dance Networks.
